Former Chelsea player Emmanuel Petit has criticized recent signings Romeo Lavia and Moises Caicedo for choosing Chelsea over Liverpool, suggesting that money played a significant role in their decisions.
Petit believes that, sportingly, joining Liverpool would have been a better move for both players, especially for Caicedo, who could have reunited with former Brighton teammate Alexis Mac Allister.
Petit also expressed concerns about Chelsea’s squad size and lack of a clear plan. Caicedo and Lavia are expected to play in Chelsea’s upcoming Premier League match against Luton Town.
