Could Presnal Kimpembe be the answer to Chelsea’s centre-back problems? Although there have been varied reactions to this, it appears that Thomas Tuchel and Thiago Silva are interested in working with the Frenchman again.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Chelsea’s interest in French defenders has peaked, and while a deal for Jules Kounde is nearing completion, the Chelsea defense still has a lot of holes to fill. The departures of Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger, as well as Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso, have put the Blues in a bind. They’re searching the transfer market in search of the ideal defense player.
I suppose it would be illegal, at the very least, to look into the idea of Thomas Tuchel reuniting with a defender with whom he is already acquainted, right? I’m not opposed to that at all. The guy who may have replaced Thiago Silva has a good chance of establishing himself at Stamford Bridge.
Presnel Kimpembe, Matthijis de Ligt, and Jules Kounde, according to writer Christian Falk, have entered Chelsea’s defense want list. Chelsea has been connected with the Frenchman before, so this comes as no surprise. Kimpembe was rumored to be prepared to quit PSG for a fresh challenge by L’Equipe earlier this year. Chelsea was looking forward to the chance, and with Thomas Tuchel in the mix, their reunion might happen soon.
Since joining PSG’s first squad permanently as a ten-year-old, the 26-year-old has had plenty of company. He was following in the footsteps of Thiago Silva, who played with Marquinhos. He’s currently worth £36 million, which may be a bargain if negotiated.
Chelsea supporters are desperate for a replacement for Thiago Silva at center-back. They are, however, having difficulty envisioning the ideal Antonio Rudiger successor. What about the man who snatched Silva’s PSG berth in the first place? According to reports, the Brazilian has made touch with Kimpembe.
According to French writer Olivier Bossard, Kimpembe has received “a few text messages” from Silva in an attempt to “pitch” him the Chelsea proposal.
Presnel Kimpembe would be a wonderful fit now that Antonio Rudiger has officially left. Chelsea is in search of a missing component, and the World Cup champion may be that piece. The Blues may be able to find a substitute for Rudiger abroad, but finding a reliable Thiago Silva successor will be far more difficult in the future.
On the market right now, there aren’t many possibilities for left-sided centre-backs. Tuchel will need a close match to what he has already worked with if he want to preserve the three-man defense.
Tuchel-aware player. Who understands what it’s like to play for a big club under enormous pressure, and who has already learnt from Thiago Silva. It would be immoral not to consider Kimpembe, particularly if de Ligt is unable to go to west London.
