PSG now try hijack ‘talented’ £20m attacker Chelsea wants to the signing of this summer
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Chelsea might miss out on a summer signing to Paris Saint-Germain, who are managed by Luis Enrique.
Chelsea’s Current Attacking Options
The Blues already have a solid lineup of attackers, including Cole Palmer, Christopher Nkunku, Noni Madueke, Mykhailo Mudryk, and Raheem Sterling.
However, this hasn’t stopped them from being linked with additional offensive talents.
Race Against PSG for Ligue 1 Attacker
Chelsea may need to act quickly if they want to sign a particular attacker from Ligue 1, as PSG are reportedly interested as well.
Potential Manager: Roberto De Zerbi
Whoever Chelsea signs this summer might end up playing under Roberto De Zerbi, the former Brighton & Hove Albion manager. According to Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol, De Zerbi is on Chelsea’s shortlist to replace Mauricio Pochettino.
PSG and Chelsea Eyeing the Same Player
A transfer battle could be on the horizon between two of Europe’s giants.
French outlet Jeunes Footeux reports that PSG are looking to outbid Chelsea for Rayan Cherki. With Cherki’s contract expiring next year, he could be available for a bargain price in the upcoming transfer window.
Potential Transfer Fee for Cherki
According to Jeunes Footeux, Cherki might be available for around €24 million (£20 million).
The 20-year-old had a modest season, scoring just once in 33 Ligue 1 appearances.
Should Chelsea Sign Rayan Cherki?
While Cherki didn’t light up the scoreboard this season, he is known for his talent. Last year, Laurent Blanc praised the Frenchman as a “very talented” young player.
Chelsea’s Current Options at No. 10
Chelsea already have Palmer and Nkunku, both of whom can play as a No. 10. If the club is to sign another player for that position, they should arguably target a more elite player to truly enhance the squad.
Given Cherki’s potential but limited goal record, he might not be a priority for Chelsea right now. With so much talent already in their ranks, the Blues might be better off focusing on other areas for improvement.
