Kalidou Koulibaly, a recent addition to Chelsea, has provided an explanation for his choice to sign with the club during the summer transfer window.

But Chelsea was able to intervene and work out a deal for £40 million with the Italians, which was a real summer steal. His agreement was supposed to end at the end of the next campaign.
Koulibaly accepted the Blues’ second approach this summer without even thinking twice, although he hasn’t spoken anything about it: “I spent eight years in Naples. We adored living there, and everyone knew me there,” he said.
“I thought it was time for a fresh challenge after eight years, so when Chelsea contacted, I didn’t think twice.
“I’m thrilled to be here in 2022,” the speaker said. “It almost occurred before in 2016.”
But Koulibaly made a name for himself as one of the top center defenders in Italian football. He excelled in the Champions League and is now among the best players in the league.
He must not underestimate the caliber of English football as the Premier League would be his biggest test yet because it has made even the great players appear average.
We do think that Chelsea have made some excellent moves by bringing him on board, but the Premier League is not the Italian League, so he must give his all in every game.
Many are eager to see what he brings to Chelsea; the supporters must be really ecstatic.
