Leboeuf, on the other hand, wished him luck, admitting that he likes Rudiger on a personal level.
“It is very bad news for the Blues and I am very sad to see him leave the club, but I completely understand that he wants to fulfill his dream,” Leboeuf told ESPN FC. “It is only fair to see him go to Real Madrid, who definitely needs someone of his talent to play alongside either [Eder] Militao or [David] Alaba.”
“I believe it will be more Alaba, but it is a significant boost for Real Madrid.” They will be more stable at the back, which has been a concern for them recently, even if they were stronger in that area in the Champions League final.
“It’s a fantastic signing for Real Madrid, and I wish him the best of luck because he’s a wonderful person.”
