Chelsea are on the hunt for a new manager following Mauricio Pochettino’s departure earlier this week.
The Argentine manager left Stamford Bridge by mutual consent after the Blues finished sixth in the Premier League.
Since then, various managers have been linked to the Chelsea job, including Brentford’s Thomas Frank and Leicester City’s Enzo Maresca.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Enzo Maresca is particularly eager to join Chelsea this summer.

Pochettino’s exit is still fresh, but Chelsea have already identified several potential candidates.
This shortlist includes Frank, who has reportedly had discussions with the club. Journalist Christian Falk recently mentioned on X that Frank has had “multiple meetings” with Chelsea and was also on Bayern Munich’s radar.
Brentford fans might be displeased, given Chelsea are their west London rivals. Frank was commended by Liverpool legend John Barnes during his first Premier League season for his “brilliant job” at the Gtech Community Stadium.
Frank and De Zerbi on Chelsea’s Radar
Frank isn’t the only manager with Premier League experience being considered by Chelsea.
Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol has noted on X that Roberto De Zerbi is also on Chelsea’s shortlist.
De Zerbi’s Strong Credentials
De Zerbi is currently available after leaving Brighton & Hove Albion at the end of the season.
The Italian did a commendable job at Brighton, steering them to sixth place last season. He has previously worked with a few Chelsea players, such as Moises Caicedo and Mykhailo Mudryk, which makes him a logical choice for the role.
De Zerbi’s Tactical Appeal
What stands out about De Zerbi is his distinctive style of play. Brighton averaged 14.8 shots per game, the sixth-highest in the Premier League this season, according to WhoScored.
Given his track record and tactical acumen, hiring the 44-year-old could be a savvy move for Chelsea.
