“Chelsea green light” – £56m Striker linked with Chelsea has just turned down offers from Saudi Arabia
Sesko’s Ambition to Stay in Europe
Chelsea’s latest striker target has reportedly turned down lucrative offers from Saudi Arabia, showing a clear desire to remain in European football.
Chelsea’s Search for a New No 9
The transfer rumor mill suggests Chelsea is eyeing several centre-forwards, indicating that a new No 9 might be joining Stamford Bridge next season. Although Nicolas Jackson had a respectable debut season, scoring 17 goals across all competitions, he could use some extra support in the squad.
Maresca’s Priority Signings
According to The Telegraph, Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca wants a new forward as one of his top three signings this summer.
Sesko Turns Down Saudi Arabia Offers
Journalist Fabrizio Romano has revealed that RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko has rejected offers from Saudi Arabian clubs, opting to stay in Europe. The 21-year-old striker turned down offers that included salaries worth an astonishing €30m (£26m) a season. Romano noted that while Sesko is on Chelsea’s radar, no advanced negotiations are happening yet.
Romano shared with GiveMeSport: “At the moment, with Arsenal, it’s not something advanced or close. Despite all the reports, we still need to see what the player wants. The first step will be with Leipzig. He received two significant proposals, around €30m net per season salary from Saudi, but Sesko decided to stay in Europe to compete at the highest level.”
Benjamin Sesko: A Chelsea Target
Sesko, who scored 18 goals in his debut season with Leipzig, seems set on staying in Europe. The question remains: Can Chelsea secure his signature?
Chelsea’s Interest in Sesko
Foot Mercato reports that Chelsea has contacted Sesko’s representatives, identifying him as a primary attacking target. The Evening Standard adds that Chelsea might be willing to activate Sesko’s £56m release clause to beat Arsenal in the race for the striker.
At just 21 years old, Sesko is still developing and is not yet a guaranteed star. However, his potential is immense, and he would be a strong competitor alongside Jackson in Chelsea’s lineup.
