Manchester United are interested in signing the 31-year-old, and former United midfielder Paul Parker feels that signing Kante would be a step forward.
“Kante has won multiple medals, made it in huge, large tournaments,” he told Indiabetting.co.in.
“Can you do it?” I believe it is doable if you consider what is occurring at Chelsea.
“When things are expressed like that, I’m usually rather negative about them.” However, this option is viable, and I prefer it. It’s a good concept.”
He went on to outline how Kante’s arrival at Manchester United will affect the midfield.
“A midfield with Kante, (Frenkie) de Jong, and van de Beek would be fascinating,” Parker added.
“Will it be the most threatening midfield on the surface, and you’ve got workaholics in there?” You have individuals who will maintain the ball and control the midfield, which will significantly strengthen Manchester United’s midfield.
“They’re no longer going to be a bottom-six midfield.”
