FIORENTINA IN TALKS TO SIGN LUKA JOVIC
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Real Madrid had been interested in Kylian Mbappe for quite some time before realizing he was only using Los Blancos to get a large offer from Qatar/PSG.
However, you may have forgotten that PSG was interested in signing a Real Madrid left-winger.
They had been keeping an eye on Vinicius Jr. since the 2019/20 season, and in the summer of 2021, they requested both the Brazilian and cash if they were to let Mbappe go. Florentino Perez held solid in his belief in Kylian’s Flamengo deal, even though many Madridistas would have been willing to give up Vini Jr. to get Kylian.
And thank heavens Flo took care of it. Vini had a breakout season in 2021/22, scoring the game-winning goal in the Champions League Final against Liverpool. No less in the metropolis of Paris!
Perez’s rejection of PSG’s transfer offer for Vinicius Jr. did not, however, put a stop to the Qatar-owned club’s pursuit of the young attacker.
PSG promised Vinicius Jr. a salary of 40 million euros.
According to Mario Cortegana of MARCA, PSG pestered Vinicius Jr. for months from November to March, pleading with the Real Madrid player not to renew with the club he loves – the club whose badge he always points to – in order to accept their outrageous 40 million euro offer, which included business opportunities in Qatar. By the way, that’s a financial offer Real couldn’t even come close to matching. Even their own high-wage structure would be disrupted.
PSG has been able to spend unethically and is now in the pocket of UEFA. PSG were busy making unethical offers to an under-contract player at the club they see as their biggest challenge to their ultimate sportswashing goal of winning the Champions League to validate Qatar, after spending an outrageous amount of money in the previous transfer windows and spitting in the face of FFP while stabbing it with a harpoon.
Of course, UEFA will do nothing. President Aleksander Ceferin is friends with Nasser Al-Khelaifi, the president of the PSG, who also happens to be the ECA head.
Despite not signing Mbappe, Real Madrid has regularly outperformed PSG when it mattered most. Vinicius Jr., of course, did not take their proposals seriously. That is not how he can be bought out. He truly has morals, unlike many others.
Aurelien Tchouameni, on the other hand, has never shown any interest in PSG. We can also say the same thing about Eduardo Camavinga, who we saw in the last transfer window.
Even still, players like Vini and Tchouameni should not be put in a position where UEFA’s timidity permits a state-owned sportswashing company to propose such proposals as a way of flexing a financial muscle that should never have been jacked up to this level in the first place.
