Robert Lewandowski has turned down a transfer to Chelsea in order to pursue his dream of playing for Barcelona.

Chelsea is now in negotiations with Inter Milan about bringing Romelu Lukaku back to Italy after only one season in the Premier League.
According to rumors, Tuchel’s first-choice replacement for Lukaku is Lewandowski, and the Blues are willing to authorize his departure.
Tuchel is a major fan of the Poland international and feels that, despite his 34th birthday in August, he can still succeed in the Premier League.
Despite bids from Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain, Lewandowski is certain to join Barcelona, according to SPORT.
Barcelona will have to spend €40 million to recruit the striker, with the Catalan giants already struggling financially and unable to sign newcomers Andreas Christensen and Franck Kessie.
However, a new development at the club appears to be easing the strain and allowing Xavi to make the required team changes this summer.
Barcelona’s members have voted in favor of selling future merchandise and television rights in the previous 24 hours.
The vote gives club president Joan Laporta and his board of directors the go-ahead to sell 49.9% of the club’s Barca Licensing and Merchandising (BLM) business, as well as 25% of the club’s La Liga broadcast rights profits, in the following years. Both passed with significant margins: BLM received 88 percent of the vote, while TV revenues received 84 percent.
The transactions are expected to bring in over £600 million, which will be used to reduce the club’s debt – which now stands at over £1 billion – and upgrade the playing team this summer, according to reports.
