Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel, on the other hand, does not appear to want Cesar Azpilicueta to leave the club this summer.
Tuchel is reportedly striving hard to keep his captain, as well as Azpilicueta, at the club, according to transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano.
On Barcelona’s side, a deal is unlikely to be completed until numerous players have been transferred out of the first-team squad, which appears to be the stumbling block to Andreas Christensen’s departure.
Meanwhile, Andreas Christensen remained tight-lipped when asked why he has not to be revealed by Barcelona, despite the fact that his departure has already been official.
After Denmark’s victory over Austria, Christensen informed reporters, “I know where I have to play.”
“Unfortunately, it’s not totally up to me [the date of the announcement],” Christensen remarked when asked where he will be playing next season. There are also a few additional things that must be in place.
“I’m hoping for soon.” But I’ve known what I’m going to do for quite some time. “All I have to do now is wait until the appropriate moment.”
When a reporter inquired about Barcelona, Christensen said with a wry smile, “It is one of the biggest clubs in Europe.” I believe it is for everyone – whether or not they have had troubles, it is still one of the most prestigious clubs for a player to join.”
Do you believe Azpilicueta will be required to play for the club next season?
