Rafael Leao of AC Milan has been drawing interest from some of Europe’s greatest teams recently, but Foot Mercato reports that Manchester City will now enter the hunt for his signing.
According to reports, Pep Guardiola’s team sees the 22-year-old attacker as a possible alternative for Raheem Sterling.
Last season, Leao played a key role in a number of critical goals for the Rossoneri, contributing 19 total goals over 34 games in the Serie A title-winning campaign. As a result, he’s been linked with Real Madrid, with Gazzetta dello Sport suggesting last week that the Santiago Bernabeu leadership was willing to part with €120 million to obtain his talents.
However, with Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain keeping eyes on Leao, a transfer fight might erupt shortly if one of the three European giants makes an official move for one of Milan’s greatest prospects.
