Wesley Fofana, a center-back for Leicester City, is open to moving to Chelsea because he believes it would increase his chances of being selected for France’s 2022 World Cup team, according to L’Equipe.

Both of these young defenders are highly regarded, but Fofana is definitely more acclimated to the Premier League.
Before playing again in March, the 21-year-old was out for more than six months due to a broken leg (fibula fracture), but judging by how quickly he resumed his starting position at Leicester, he appears to have healed well.
In March, he also agreed to a new five-year contract with Leicester, which would put off prospective bidders like Chelsea.
However, according to the French publication L’Equipe, the midfielder might be open to moving to Chelsea.
Fofana, who has not yet made his international debut for France, is said to feel that Chelsea’s Champions League games will improve his prospects of joining the team in time for the World Cup at the end of the year.
However, Chelsea will ultimately need to reach a deal with Leicester, who are apparently hesitant to go with the youthful center-back.
Although Paris Saint-Germain may enter the competition despite prioritizing their chase of Inter Milan’s Milan Skriniar, Chelsea is anticipated to make their first bid for the former Saint-Etienne player shortly.
According to L’Equipe, Leicester would not accept any bid for Fofana that is less than €60 million (£50.4 million).
Contrary to rumors in France, CBS Sports’ Ben Jacobs stated that Leicester wants more than £70 million for the defender.
Given Fofana’s fresh, lengthy contract, Leicester is in a good position to demand a high asking price.
Fofana won’t push a departure this summer, according to Jacobs, despite Chelsea’s plea.
