Despite interest from the Premier League, Youssoufa Moukoko is apparently not close to agreeing to a new contract with Borussia Dortmund.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe! The 18-year-contract old’s expires in the summer, and it has been previously claimed that Chelsea, Liverpool, and Manchester United are all interested in signing him.
According to the Liverpool Echo and Sky Germany, Patrick Williams, the player’s agent, said that while talks with the Bundesliga team are ongoing, no extension has yet been reached.
Williams told Sky Germany, “I can confirm that we are not about to finalize a contract extension with Borussia Dortmund.”
I can also guarantee that the figures being bandied about are false, and Youssoufa was never given that much. However, we are still in touch with Dortmund, and we’ll see what happens over the next several days.
Every top team in the world would be interested in a player like Youssoufa. particularly if he is unemployed and has a chance to play for the German national team.
The young player reportedly received a deal for €5 million each season, according to the German tabloid BILD last month.
Prior to a prospective free transfer, Moukoko will be able to talk with teams outside of Germany starting on January 1.
However, during the January transfer window, clubs can try to persuade Dortmund to sell the highly regarded forward at a discount.
There are compelling justifications for Chelsea, Liverpool, and Manchester United to consider purchasing Moukoko in January.
Following Armando Broja’s cruciate ligament rupture in a friendly loss to Aston Villa, the forward was out for the whole season, leaving Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as the sole center-forward available for Chelsea.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure from United last month has limited their alternatives up front, and Luis Diaz’s extended knee injury will leave Liverpool with fewer options as well.
But according to reports, Moukoko is reluctant to leave Dortmund too soon in favor of a team where his playing time would be curtailed, and won’t go to another team just to remain on the bench.
