Romano also mentions that a bid of £60-65 million would be sufficient to convince Chelsea, with personal terms already agreed upon. Chelsea is now aware that Mount wants to leave the club, and it has been reiterated in recent days that he will not sign a new contract, which means he has the option to leave for free.
Although there were hopes that the arrival of Mauricio Pochettino would change Mount’s decision, it now seems best for both parties to part ways this summer.
