Tuchel has stated that he is relieved that the world’s most expensive goalkeeper did not depart Chelsea this summer.
“He tried and double-checked his possibilities, which we were aware of,” Tuchel added.
“They weren’t fulfilling for him or for us, so he stayed, which makes me extremely pleased.”
“I’ve always been quite clear with him that I would like him to remain, and my opinion is that he’s completely ready to play.” It’s up to us whether we give him the chance, but he’s completely prepared in terms of behavior and training.”
Tuchel has stated that Edouard Mendy is now unfortunate in his goalkeeper department as he continues to analyze his goalkeeper department.
He did, however, concede that he had two excellent goalkeepers.
“Someone emailed me an amazing quotation about Napoleon, who wanted his generals not just to be of the highest level, but also to be lucky generals,” he explained.
“This is what you need from leaders and goalkeepers as well, that they have the type of momentum where a small error is not penalized.”
“At the present, he [Mendy] gets penalized a lot for not doing anything wrong, but I have no doubts.” We are aware that he is in such a scenario, yet the situation is peaceful. We have two great goalkeepers and two great people.”
