Before making his club debut in the 2019–20 season, Broja advanced through Chelsea’s development programs. He was given a loan to Vitesse Arnhem the next season in order to get crucial playing experience, and in 34 appearances for the squad, he scored 11 goals.
Southampton of the Premier League acquired Broja over the summer on a season-long loan. He then made 38 appearances across all leagues, scoring nine goals, before returning to Chelsea this summer.
As a result of Romelu Lukaku’s loan move to Inter Milan earlier this month, the squad is now deficient in attackers. Broja was anticipated to get an opportunity to flourish and prove his worth during the team’s preseason trip.
Tuchel, though, admitted that he “landed in an odd way on his ankles and Achilles.” He is in agony, but nothing is harmed, the German said, confirming that the injury is not significant.
Football.london quotes Tuchel as saying:
He had a minor mishap with the ball handling during practice yesterday and funny-landed on his ankle and Achilles [tendon]. He is in discomfort, but we examined him and found no injuries; it’s just pain. He’s fortunate that he avoided harm. He avoided hurting himself, which is fortunate and makes us glad.
