We will be at the club on Monday Barcelona set to signing Chelsea star who is yet to play a single game for Chelsea
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!According to the Daily Mail, Barcelona has expressed interest in signing Chelsea midfielder Andrey Santos, who is yet to make an appearance for the Blues.
Chelsea acquired Santos from Vasco da Gama in January, but due to work permit issues, he was loaned back to the Brazilian side for the remainder of the season.
Santos is currently participating in pre-season training with Chelsea under the guidance of manager Mauricio Pochettino, as he has resolved the work permit problems that initially delayed his start at Stamford Bridge.
Barcelona has reportedly identified Santos as a potential long-term replacement for Sergio Busquets and is keen on signing the Brazilian international. However, Benfica and Porto have also shown interest in securing a loan move for the 19-year-old midfielder.
Pochettino, Chelsea’s new manager, wants to evaluate Santos closely before making a decision on his future, hence he prefers to have a closer look at the player and assess all his options.
Since joining Chelsea, Santos has been called up to the senior squad and represented Brazil at the Under-20 World Cup, where they reached the quarter-finals but were eliminated by Israel. He also made his senior debut for Brazil in a friendly match against Morocco in March, coming off the bench in a 2-1 loss.
