Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has dropped a hint that Christopher Nkunku, the French attacker signed for £52 million, might make his debut for the club this weekend against Brighton. Pochettino revealed in his pre-match press conference that they will assess Nkunku’s fitness on the following day to determine if he can feature in the Premier League for the first time.
Nkunku, who showcased his skills during the pre-season tour of the United States, suffered an injury in the final friendly, delaying his debut for Chelsea. Despite the setback, the Frenchman has been spotted back in training, raising hopes among supporters for his potential inclusion in the squad alongside in-form players like Cole Palmer and Raheem Sterling.
