Boehly later in the window, regretting his choice to sign Lukaku, drew a stricter line with Timo Werner, Christian Pulisic, and Hakim Ziyech, insisting they could only leave Stamford Bridge on long-term contracts for transfer fees that made financial sense.
Injuries have plagued Lukaku throughout his loan stint at Inter Milan, and he has only played 256 minutes of football for the Italian team.
Massimo Moratti, a former Inter president, criticised Inter Milan for lending Lukaku to them from Chelsea and called it “a major rip-off.” He essentially has no playing experience.
