“We have check and no problem” – Graham Potter claims a Chelsea player is not hurt ahead of tomorrow’s match against Brentford,
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Thiago Silva of Chelsea is not injured coming into this week’s match against Brentford, according to Graham Potter.
Tomorrow night in the Premier League, the Blues will make the quick trip across London to face Brentford, a match that proved to be very challenging the year before.
Chelsea has gone six games without a loss under Potter’s leadership as the team’s new head coach. They are fourth in the standings and moving forward, thus.
Brentford, meanwhile, is tenth in the top league after once again impressing after success in the previous season.
Silva, Thiago, is not hurt.
Prior to the Brentford game, Potter said in his pre-game news conference that Chelsea’s Silva is not hurt.
“Since Aston Villa was obviously 24–48 hours ago, we need to ensure that his rehabilitation is appropriate for him. But there are no injuries, just recovery issues,” he stated.
Chelsea supporters will be relieved to hear the update given Potter said over the weekend that Silva experienced hamstring soreness following the victory over Aston Villa.
Thankfully, the 38-year-old defender has not experienced any type of injury setback.
Will Potter, though, take a chance by starting the seasoned center-back once more given the short turnaround from Sunday to Wednesday?
Silva must undoubtedly make a sacrifice and take a break from one of the upcoming three really crucial games.
If he were a few years younger, his name would be first on the team roster, but as you age, injuries become more likely. Fair enough, the crazy schedule forces Potter into rotation across the board.
On Wednesday, Chelsea visits Brentford, and on Saturday, Chelsea hosts Manchester United. Following that, a significant trip to Red Bull Salzburg is scheduled for the Champions League group stages.
Because Ivan Toney poses a threat tomorrow, you might make a strong case that Silva should be rested for the Man United game at Stamford Bridge.
