Kante has drawn interest from a number of teams, and it appears that the Saudi high-flyers are the front-runners to sign him.
When Kante’s contract expires at the conclusion of the season, Al-Nassr reportedly wants to bring him on board.
The former Leicester City player hasn’t played since the middle of August and hasn’t appeared since Graham Potter took over as manager.
That does not stop the Saudi Arabian team from seeking the World Cup and Premier League champion, though.
In the upcoming months, they intend to bolster their roster with both Kante and former Man United star Cristiano Ronaldo.
Kante’s recovery from hamstring surgery won’t allow him to be selected until the end of February or the beginning of March, Potter just revealed this week.
The midfielder underwent surgery in October, which rendered him inactive for four months.
Potter stated, “He will be a while, end of Feb, start of March.” ‘Since there was surgery, it will probably take at least four months.
“Everyone knows the quality he has, so I suppose my objective is to assist him get back fit as quickly as possible.”
Since Barcelona is also interested in the Frenchman, Al-Nassr will need to move quickly to seal a deal.
The Catalan team see him as a potential solution to their midfield problems, and given that he will become a free agent, he wouldn’t cost them anything.
However, if the 31-year-mobility old’s is restricted by unresolved injuries, it could thwart the World Cup winner’s plans to relocate to Spain.
