Despite the off-field issues that have lasted for nearly two months, Thomas Tuchel has been able to manage the team.
The results were still decent at first, but Chelsea has had a string of poor performances and outcomes in the last month.
Tuchel has already stated that the club’s current condition has affected his players.
“We are the only club suffering like this right now, and perhaps the first team ever,” Tuchel added.
“This is a unique and difficult issue, and everyone hopes it will be resolved.” We’ve been waiting for it, and we’re in desperate need of that good energy and competitive spirit.
“There’s no getting around the reality that it’s a distraction; the question is what level can we still achieve when distracted or scared.” We performed admirably until the national break. In terms of outcomes, it had virtually the opposite impact. During the announcement of the penalties, we felt quite strong.”
Chelsea’s manager also stated that the recent international break exacerbated the situation, since the club has never really recovered since then.
“Then something really human and typical happened,” he said. There were other affects on the players when they were not here [during the international break], perhaps more thoughts about the issue in general, and now the situation is quite protracted.”
