Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Following their 2-1 defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly was seen conversing with disgruntled fans in the stands. This comes after Frank Lampard suffered his third successive defeat since taking over as interim manager, despite Conor Gallagher scoring the opening goal in the 13th minute with an effort deflected off of Lewis Dunk. Brighton secured their victory with goals from Danny Welbeck and Julio Enciso, completing their league double after a 4-1 win in October at the Amex Stadium. This marked the first time in Brighton’s 122-year history that they have beaten Chelsea in a league game at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea has been experiencing growing frustrations following their recent results and are also on the verge of exiting the Champions League. Since Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital took over ownership last May, the club has spent over £600 million. This season alone, the club has experienced two managerial sackings, leading to chaos. However, the club has attempted to weather the storm throughout the campaign.

After the 2-1 defeat to Brighton, fans voiced their frustrations by shouting at Boehly in the West Stand Upper of Stamford Bridge. The co-owner was seen in conversation with unhappy supporters, raising his arms before returning inside. Boehly was also pictured walking across the pitch at full-time and down into the tunnel, reportedly going inside the dressing room. Caretaker boss Frank Lampard expressed his disappointment in the team, stating that they were not good enough and that Brighton played like a team. Lampard criticized the team for being short on the basic parts of football, such as fighting and running.
Lampard acknowledged that some players physically couldn’t play in the upcoming game against Real Madrid, and that some changes were forced while others were opportunities. He emphasized that the team needs to get better quickly and focus on the football basics. Lampard also stated that he will be saying things to the players that he will keep in-house, but Chelsea fans can expect the team to give everything to turn things around in the upcoming game against Real Madrid.
