Tony Cascarino believes that Raheem Sterling would be the “perfect” addition to the Chelsea squad if he were to join this summer.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Sterling, a star in the English game, has earned several honors throughout his tenure at Man City. He has 131 goals to his credit with the Premier League Champions.
Pep Guardiola is one of the players who are prepared to let go this summer in order to make changes for the next season. Sterling is one of those guys.
And with all the reports that Chelsea is about to make a play for the Englishman, Cascarino has come out, assuring the board and the fans that he would be the best addition to the squad.
Cascarino predicted that before the new season begins, they will make at least two significant additions.
Raheem is ideal for Chelsea, in my opinion; they need that sort of guy.
“I like Raheem’s tempo. The number of players who can play wide and reach the byline is quite low. While some argue that Sterling’s finishing isn’t the best, he consistently gets opportunities and consistently receives a respectable season-ending total. Timo Werner is a poor finisher.
I was a little let down because I believed [Christian] Pulisic would be a great player for Chelsea.
“He’s been hurt too often and has never really gotten going. He has his moments, but he and other Chelsea strikers haven’t exactly produced the stats you’d expect.
“You can add Lukaku and Timo Werner, and Havertz can be included even though he isn’t technically a center forward.
He’s developing as a player, but he’s still not ready to start the season as Chelsea’s line leader.
