According to Thomas Tuchel, Todd Boehly must have been impressed with the team’s effort since they gave it their best.
“We aim to impress with what we do and we do it with complete devotion and enthusiasm,” Tuchel said, when asked whether he was concerned about the cup final failure with Boehly watching.
“We pushed one of the finest teams in the world to their limits, and we’ve done it five times in a row against them.”
“I was pleased on the sideline by both teams’ passion and quality to play in a final, but I didn’t think about impressing anybody else.”
“We wanted to make a good impression on ourselves and grab what we believed we deserved given the circumstances.” We were prepared to accept it, but we did not.”
