Chelsea may not have been the strongest club in the Premier League this season, but Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers says the Chelsea team has been the most difficult opponent his team has played.
In the rematch at the King Power Stadium, Chelsea put three past Leicester City at a moment when the Chelsea team was complete and firing on all cylinders.
“I’m a huge fan of Chelsea and the club and the job Thomas has done there,” Brendan Rodgers stated ahead of their Premier League showdown at Stamford Bridge on Thursday.
“They are, without a doubt, the finest squad we have faced this season.” They were at the peak of their game when we played them early in the season. They were fantastic, in my opinion.
“They lost some players not long after that. Even with rosters like Chelsea’s, elite players must be accessible, as I’ve already stated.
“Over the course of time, they’ve had people out, essential individuals that ensure that the processes run well.”
“Then there are the diversions behind the scenes, which is always a difficulty.”
“What I do know is that they have an excellent manager who has done an incredible job while he’s been there.” They have a collection of really talented players.”
