Lukaku has improved in recent games, but Tuchel has been tight-lipped on his selection ahead of the FA Cup final.
Rafa Benitez has recommended Tuchel to start Kai Havertz instead of Lukaku, believing that Havertz will cause more problems for Liverpool’s defense.
“Liverpool’s centre-backs are large, powerful, and good in the air, and I believe that facing someone like Kai Havertz will be more of an issue for them than facing a target man,” he wrote in The Times.
“Havertz provides greater movement, with the goal of drawing opponents out of position, and he’ll be backed up by two other players.”
“Antonio Conte worked to Lukaku’s talents at Inter Milan, but Chelsea have more choices up front.”
“Tuchel has used Havertz, Christian Pulisic, and Mason Mount in Chelsea’s last two meetings against Liverpool. Timo Werner is another option, and I believe it might be a similar strategy.”
