According to reports, Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen pulled out of the FA Cup final team only hours before kick-off.
According to the Daily Mail, Christensen was not injured, but on the morning of the game, he told Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel that he did not want to be listed in the team for the final versus Liverpool because he did not feel ready to play.
Trevoh Chalobah started the game in the right center-back position due to Christensen’s unavailability.
Meanwhile, Luis Enrique, a former Liverpool player, has criticized Christensen for his actions.
Enrique responded to the charges made about Christensen in a social media post, criticizing the Chelsea defender.
“I’m not sure whether this is real, but if it is, it’s astounding that a player would do such a thing,” Enrique wrote.
“You’re still bound by your contract.” You’re in the championship game.
“Don’t do it for yourself; do it for your teammates, club, and supporters who have been behind you the entire way.”
