Since there has been much speculation regarding whether or not Broja may quit the squad, his name has come up regularly in connection with moves over the previous few months.
Multiple times, the sources have said that West Ham and Chelsea have been in talks about a potential transfer for the talented striker, but no agreement has been reached.
Broja might potentially fill Romelu Lukaku’s former position at the center of the Blues’ attack after Lukaku was loaned back to Inter, and Tuchel has less options for an outright striker than before.
Given that they are no closer to signing a new forward than they were at the beginning of the transfer window and that Tuchel has stated that he doesn’t see Broja moving, it’s probable that he will stay with the squad.
Prior to Wednesday’s game, Tuchel stated in his pre-match press conference, “I don’t expect Armando to leave.”
“Offers and interest have been made known to us. Together with the player and the owner, we shall decide this.
I was aware of his attempts to make an impression and join Chelsea as quickly as possible while he was here.
