According to journalist Simon Phillips, Todd Boehly, owner of Chelsea, is attempting to acquire a Brazilian club in order to get an advantage in the race to recruit teenage star Endrick.
In order to create a sort of feeder team for his major buy from the previous year, Chelsea, the American has been eager to make the purchase of a professional club anywhere around the globe.
This comes after Boehly praised the Red Bull group and compared its potential to that of the City Group, a global phenomenon.
The power of this strategy was demonstrated over the summer when RB Leipzig was successful in negotiating a deal to recruit Benjamin Sesko, a young player from RB Salzburg, despite competition from major European clubs like Chelsea and Manchester United.
In addition to Brazil, Boehly has considered purchasing teams in France, and Portugal, and even at the last minute, he attempted to acquire Lyon.
However, Phillips has asserted that his work in South America may provide them an advantage when Endrick finally makes his long-awaited move.
I am aware that they are attempting to acquire a Brazilian club, and Endrick Felipe is one of the primary drivers behind this. Real Madrid and pretty much every other major team in Europe are currently their rivals.
Gabriel Jesus, the current Arsenal talisman, called Endrick a “phenomenon” and predicted that he would one day be a wonderful player.
Even though they are up against fierce competition from Europe’s top teams, the striker, who was born in 2006, already has a large following and is widely regarded as one of the finest in the world.
This could influence Boehly to select Endrick’s team, Palmerias, as his first acquisition after becoming Chelsea’s owner.
