Todd Boehly finally found best replacement for Antonio Rudiger slot as Chelsea make complicated decision
Chelsea is still looking for a new centre defender.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Chelsea’s quest for a new center-back is well-known. The club signed Kalidou Koulibaly and Wesley Fofana in the summer, but after losing Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen, and given the ages of both Thiago Silva and Cesar Azpilicueta, the Blues need to sign another defender soon.
According to the most recent French sources, they would have preferred that man to be Benoit Badiashile. The 21-year-old AS Monaco midfielder is already in Didier Deschamps’ plans and has recently started UEFA Nations League games against Austria and Denmark.
Chelsea have ‘positioned themselves’ among the frontrunners hoping to buy him in’recent weeks,’ according to L’Equipe, as reported by Sport Witness, although Monaco are now holding them off. Badiashile has subsequently stated that he stays modest and is not eager to leave the Ligue 1 club.
“Being modest and courteous does not imply a lack of ambition.” I understand how to be patient. I’m at a huge club, playing a game, and I don’t want to move much quicker. “If things have to be done, like during the World Cup,” Badiashile stated, as reported by Sport Witness.
“You shouldn’t put yourself under strain by leaving. We were discussing personalities in a locker room; if I had gone sooner, would I have worked as hard in recent months?”
The transaction will undoubtedly be tricky, but it appears to be one to watch in the future.
