Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe! The new men enjoy talking a lot. Todd Boehly has been sitting in a conference room somewhere today, defending his firing of Thomas Tuchel in all sorts of business jargon, including frequent use of the scary phrase “human capital” to explain what he’s excellent at.
The decision was taken because they did not have a “common vision for the future” with Tuchel, according to Boehly. He didn’t go into any further depth about what it meant.
It’s a realistic and not frightening point of view if your vision of football aligns more with the owners’ than with Tuchel’s.
Todd Boehly: “The reality of our decision was that we weren’t sure that Thomas saw it the same way we saw it. No one is right or wrong, we just didn’t have a shared vision for the future."
