Thomas Tuchel can save Todd Boehly £34m transfer dilemma by unleashing secret for Chelsea
By releasing Chelsea’s hidden weapon next season, Thomas Tuchel might save Todd Boehly up to £34 million in the forthcoming transfer window. According to the MailOnline, the owner of the Los Angeles Dodgers, who has agreed to acquire the west London club for £4.25 billion, is set to ‘push for A-list stars’ to usher in a new era at Stamford Bridge.

The 21-year-old rubs shoulders with players like Phil Foden and Riyad Mahrez, who have missed the most of Chelsea’s final matchups this season due to injury.
This season, the Cobham graduate has only played 28 times for Chelsea, most of which have been in positions other than his natural ones or as a substitute. Despite his tiny sample size, Hudson-Odoi has directly contributed to nine goals and has swiftly established himself as one of the league’s most productive playmakers.
Hudson-Odoi, who CIES Football Observatory estimates to be worth roughly £34 million, has 0.23 predicted assists per 90 minutes in the Premier League this season. The former England youth international is also joined on stage by Jadon Sancho and Philippe Coutinho.
Hudson-Odoi has stepped up as Chelsea’s most prolific playmaker this season, with just Reece James having a higher anticipated assist per 90 minutes in the Premier League. However, the latter has not played for Tuchel’s side since the Blues’ 3-2 FA Cup fifth-round win over Luton Town in March.
He had an Achilles injury, which was followed by a lower back problem that kept him out of play for two months. Hudson-Odoi will not be ready until pre-season begins in the summer, according to Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho.
Tuchel said of Hudson-Odoi at the pre-match news conference before of the west London side’s encounter against Leicester City: “He essentially slipped out of the team from one day to the next. Individual training is still developing, but team training is not. He, like Chilwell, will arrive early in preseason to begin a program and return to squad training on July 2.”
