The three things Chelsea are love about with Nicolas Jackson
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Nicolas Jackson has certainly made a positive impression on his bosses at Chelsea this season, and it’s not just due to his goal-scoring prowess. With six goals in 11 Premier League appearances, he stands as Chelsea’s second top scorer. His finishing has notably improved, highlighted by his two well-taken goals against West Ham United in September. Former goalkeeper Shaka Hislop has even named him the most improved player in the Premier League.
Chelsea is pleased with Jackson’s overall development, as reported by journalist Simon Phillips. He noted that the club appreciates Jackson’s enhanced finishing, his contributions on the pitch, and his overall progress. Phillips mentioned, “Nobody at Chelsea is doubting Jackson; sources have assured me of that. They are very pleased with his development and clear improvements in front of goal, as well as his general contributions on the pitch.”
While the Senegalese media may not have been impressed with Jackson’s last performance, Chelsea seems to have no complaints. Gianfranco Zola has also acknowledged Jackson’s growth this season, attributing it to the team’s overall improvement. “I think he is getting better, but I think this is a consequence of the team getting better,” Zola stated.
Chelsea has shown significant improvement compared to the previous season, currently sitting third in the Premier League. To maintain this position, manager Enzo Maresca will need Jackson to keep finding the back of the net, especially as they prepare to face Leicester City, Maresca’s former club. Jackson’s scoring ability will also help relieve some pressure from Cole Palmer, who has been a key player since joining Chelsea last year. With other players like Pedro Neto stepping up—he scored the crucial equalizer in the recent 1-1 draw with Arsenal—Chelsea’s attacking lineup, featuring Jackson, Palmer, and Noni Madueke, is becoming increasingly formidable.
