Stop wasting money – John Obi Mikel warns Chelsea against top signing target
After leaving Manchester United, Chelsea star John Obi-Mikel advised the club not to sign 37-year-old Portugal international Cristiano Ronaldo.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Obi Mikel admitted to Dubai Eye that he “truly has never been a Ronaldo admirer.” “I don’t really understand a player with so much ego, in my opinion.
He has never been one of my favorite players, which is why I almost always choose Lionel Messi.
“I mean, if someone comes out and gives such an interview, what gives you the impression that he won’t do the same if he signs for your team in January?
“So, I mean, I’m sure every club will know that… However, keep in mind that he is Cristiano Ronaldo, one of the best players to ever play the game.
“I believe he will find a new club in January and carry on with his football career.
But for me, the situation is absolutely awful; he has done so much for the club, and to see it come to this is just awful.
“Really, I would say that interview shouldn’t have been conducted and that the timing was incorrect.
Simply put, it’s wrong. It doesn’t seem appropriate for a player who has gotten so far in the game.
