“Stop starting him Chelsea will never win” – Alan Shearer hits on Chelsea to be dropped 22-year-old player
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Alan Shearer has criticized Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson, suggesting that Chelsea’s struggles to score goals, as evident in their loss to Brentford, can be partly attributed to Jackson’s positioning and performance. Shearer expressed his view on the Premier League productions, indicating that Jackson might not be the ideal choice to lead Chelsea’s attack.
Shearer pointed out that Jackson was not effectively positioning himself to score goals and lacked the necessary movement during the match. He noted that the young striker seemed inexperienced and at times unsure of what actions to take. Shearer emphasized that goalscorers need to be proactive and make defenders work, which, in his view, Jackson was failing to do. He also highlighted that hanging around on the edge of the box, as Jackson appeared to be doing, is not the role of a striker, whose primary responsibility is to get on the end of scoring opportunities.
Nicolas Jackson has scored only two goals in nine Premier League matches for Chelsea this season. Additionally, he has accumulated five yellow cards, leading to a suspension for one league match.
