While many high-profile stars have moved to Saudi Arabia later in their careers, a current young Chelsea player might join them soon. N’Golo Kante, for instance, left Chelsea for Al-Ittihad in 2023. Now, could Armando Broja be the next to head to the Middle East?

Journalist Ben Jacobs recently reported on X that Chelsea’s 22-year-old striker, Armando Broja, is expected to leave Stamford Bridge this summer. Broja is reportedly open to a move to Saudi Arabia, with Al-Shabab previously showing interest.
Interest from Other Clubs
In addition to Saudi Arabia, Broja is attracting attention from Monaco, AC Milan, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Crystal Palace, and Everton. These clubs are considering a £25 million valuation for the young forward. L’Equipe has also reported that Monaco has intensified their interest by entering negotiations with Chelsea.
Broja’s Declining Reputation
Broja’s reputation has suffered recently. Chelsea valued him at £50 million in January, according to Sky Sports, but his current market value has significantly dropped. Despite his potential, a move to Saudi Arabia might raise doubts about his career trajectory.
Career Challenges and Future Prospects
Broja’s stint at Chelsea hasn’t been smooth, with only three goals in 38 senior appearances. A serious knee injury at the end of 2022 further hampered his progress. However, if he finds the right environment to play regular football, Broja has the potential to excel as a forward elsewhere.
