N’Golo Kante, a Chelsea midfielder, has been linked with a transfer to Manchester United.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Manchester United have just signed two Chelsea midfielders – Juan Mata and Nemanja Matic – and their new manager, Erik ten Hag, wants to improve the midfield this summer.
Kante has been linked with a summer transfer to Manchester United. This season, the 31-year-old has made 19 Premier League starts and is out of contract at the end of next season.
Meanwhile, Noel Whelan, a former Leeds United striker, has urged Manchester United against acquiring Chelsea player Eden Hazard.
He told Football Insider, “I’d want to see Man United attempt to bring in more younger players.”
“I don’t see the value in bringing in guys who are 31 or 32 years old.” They need to freshen up all across the park, and in order to do so, they need to attract youthful talent.
“Let me be clear: N’Golo Kante is a fantastic player. On his finest days, he can be one of the best midfielders in the Premier League.
“However, what good is it to sign players for two years?”
“It’ll cost a transfer fee, and they won’t get anything in return for him for a few years.”
“The supporters will prefer to believe Ten Hag is striving to develop something lasting rather than merely a short fix.”
