The reason why I blamed myself for Chelsea’s 1-1 draw against Manchester United – Reece James finally reveals
Chelsea right-back Reece James was in fine form against Manchester United last night after pulling out another stunning performance from the England international.
Also, following the match, Reece James has taken the blame to himself for not taking his chance as he missed some crucial changes in the game that could see Chelsea beating United.
Reece James speaks to Sky Sport after the game: “I probably should have scored,” he sighed. Before noting that “life goes on.”
It would have been incredibly unfair of him to take any more blame than that. He was excellent, by far the best player on the pitch, and one miss doesn’t change that. He has plenty of teammates who should feel far more culpable for a disappointing result.
