Real Madrid plan to offer Chelsea £83m star in exchange for Enzo Fernandez
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Real Madrid is reportedly eyeing Chelsea’s Argentine World Cup winner Enzo Fernandez as a key target to strengthen their midfield, with manager Carlo Ancelotti viewing him as an ideal addition. In a potential deal, Real Madrid may offer French midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni to Chelsea as part of the package to acquire Fernandez, reducing the overall transfer cost. The Spaniards are prepared to offer around £83 million but could also negotiate Tchouameni’s inclusion to facilitate the transfer.
Enzo Maresca, Chelsea’s head coach, has overseen an overhaul at Stamford Bridge, offloading several players over the summer and contemplating further exits in the coming transfer windows. High-profile players like Raheem Sterling (on loan), Romelu Lukaku, and Conor Gallagher were deemed surplus to requirements, and others could follow suit. Among them, Ben Chilwell, who was previously linked with Manchester United, may be on his way out by 2025, with United interested in strengthening that position.
Meanwhile, AC Milan and Barcelona have shown interest in Carney Chukwuemeka, with Barcelona also monitoring Romeo Lavia as they seek midfield reinforcements. However, Chelsea has no intention of selling Lavia. Both Chukwuemeka and Mykhailo Mudryk could leave on loan or transfer in January, despite Mudryk’s recent standout performance in Chelsea’s 4-1 victory over Panathinaikos in the Europa Conference League.
Tchouameni, who joined Real Madrid in 2022 for around £83 million, has been praised for his skill, control, and versatility, with pundits like Rio Ferdinand highlighting his ability to produce moments of brilliance. An exchange involving Tchouameni for Fernandez could benefit both clubs: Real Madrid would secure a top midfield talent, while Chelsea would gain a rising star with proven potential in La Liga and the international arena.
