‘Outstanding’ 22-year-old is the next player to be sold by Chelsea
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!According to The Athletic, Callum Hudson-Odoi is expected to be the next player to be sold by Chelsea in this summer’s transfer window. With several departures already taking place at Stamford Bridge, there is still more to come due to the size of last season’s squad.
Hudson-Odoi, who spent the previous season on loan at Bayer Leverkusen, is likely to be on the move again. Crystal Palace, Fulham, and Nottingham Forest are reported to be in the race to sign him, as stated by journalist Ed Aarons.
The Athletic has also mentioned that Hudson-Odoi actively wants to leave Chelsea. Despite being described as “outstanding” by Thomas Tuchel, his career seems to have reached a crossroads at the age of 22.
Considering his contract with Chelsea has only one year remaining, a move away could make sense for all parties involved. Given the competition among the current Chelsea wingers, it is difficult to envision him breaking into Mauricio Pochettino’s lineup. Finding a new club where he can play regularly would be beneficial for his career.
