During his brief tenure at Stamford Bridge, the Blues manager has already had two games postponed and led Chelsea to a Champions League tie against Red Bull Salzburg in his first game. It wasn’t the best start, but there were certainly some intriguing signs about what Potter may bring in the future.
The international break has disturbed the former Brighton manager’s tenure, but there will undoubtedly be some fascinating layers revealed against Crystal Palace this weekend. At the very least, the 47-year-old and his coaching staff have had ample time to study and analyze the group at their disposal.
Away from the field, Todd Boehly is still looking for a sports director after a summer in which the US owner was active in the transfer market. The club appears to have already failed in its attempts to sign Christoph Freund, but there are still plenty of changes going on behind the scenes, with long-serving communications director Steve Atkins the most recent to go.
