The players include goalkeepers Lucas Bergstorm and Jamie Cumming, as well as Alfie Gilchrist, Bashir Humphreys, and Mason Burstow.
These young players are expected to go out on loan to Championship or League One clubs for the upcoming season. Two promising centre-backs, Gilchrist (19) and Humphreys (20), stand out as players with great potential and are likely to benefit from regular first-team football during a loan spell.
Other players like Andrey Santos and Ian Maatsen may have been considered for loans, but their impressive performances during pre-season may alter the club’s decision. It remains to be seen how many more players from the pre-season squad will be allowed to go out on loan.
Additionally, Chelsea youngsters Diego Moreira and Angelo Gabriel are also candidates for loan moves away from Stamford Bridge in the upcoming season.
