Between now and the start of the next season, Liverpool will almost definitely decide against trying to sign Real Madrid playmaker Marco Asensio. Since the conclusion of the previous season, the Reds have moved rapidly to bring in three new players, with Fabio Carvalho, Darwin Nunez, and Calvin Ramsay having already inked contracts at Anfield.
A transfer for Asensio, who has been connected with both Liverpool and AC Milan in recent months, has also been suggested as a way for Liverpool to strengthen their team in time for the next season. However, the Anfield hierarchy is content with their existing lineup and won’t make a move to sign the Spaniard before the game action resumes, according to Fabrizio Romano.
When asked about the likelihood of Asensio joining Liverpool in the next weeks, Romano said, “I believe it would be incredibly tough.”
If Liverpool decides to switch positions, it might perhaps be something for the conclusion of the transfer window. However, they now claim internally that they are content with the team they already have. Depending on the influence of the young players they signed, maybe. Fabio Carvalho, who excelled in the league at Fulham and is seen as being prepared for the first team to play at the highest level at Liverpool, is one such case.
Of course, we’ll have to wait and watch how it progresses and everything else while we’re preparing. As long as Liverpool is content with Darwin, Carvalho, and Ramsay, there is no hope for Marco Asensio.
“They are pleased to have a transfer window. They have begun to consider future contract renewals. They make plans for the future as well as the present.
