Lampard sends brilliant message to Chelsea stars following his appointment
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Frank Lampard, the Chelsea interim manager, has announced that every Chelsea player will start with a ‘clean slate’ under his management. Lampard understands that modern-day football has big squads, and he will attempt to manage the situation by making every player feel included. He believes that this is a positive thing for him as he takes on the job on a short-term basis. Lampard plans to use the squad’s competitive nature to his advantage, encouraging players to push each other in training, which he believes will carry over onto the pitch.
“I remember being here before and I had lots of difficult decisions of really good players and good people that you have to tell, ‘you’re not involved this week’.
“Part of the job is to try and manage that situation and make every player feel included. Maybe in the beginning going into this, with it being a short term, that’s a positive thing for me because everyone can have a clean slate as such, and show in training and be competitive in training and the competitive nature can crossover onto the pitch.
“That’s a good thing about the squad, you can push each other and try and manage that.”
