It looks like they are attempting to persuade Juventus to sell Timo Werner by including him in the deal.
Whether this strategy succeeds or fails is another matter, but according to Italian journalist Daniele Longo, Chelsea is certain they can seal the deal and Juventus has approved the acquisition of Werner.
He claims that talks between the two teams are still ongoing and that their current positions still put them some way apart. However, it seems that Chelsea is optimistic that the transaction may be completed.
