According to Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea has terminated the contract of Baba Rahman and he has subsequently joined PAOK in Greece. Rahman, who spent the 2022/23 season on loan at Reading, had one year remaining on his £85,962-a-week contract with Chelsea.

However, his time at the club was largely unsuccessful, making only 23 appearances over the course of eight years. Baba had been loaned out seven times during his Chelsea career, which hindered his ability to establish himself.
Although it is a case of unfulfilled potential, it is worth noting that former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho had once praised Baba Rahman and believed he had the potential to become a world-class player.
Nevertheless, Chelsea will benefit from removing Rahman’s significant salary from their wage bill, allowing them to allocate those funds towards potential new signings in the current transfer window.
