‘Incredible’ Chelsea reject bid from club for ‘star’ player, Todd Boehly wants another £14m
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!According to reports, Chelsea have rejected a second bid from Inter Milan for striker Romelu Lukaku. The Blues are said to be hoping for an additional £14 million on top of the £26 million offered by the Italian side. Negotiations with Inter have not been smooth, as the Serie A club initially expected to secure another loan move for Lukaku, which would have been financially beneficial for them. However, Chelsea is now adamant about receiving a substantial fee for the player’s transfer.
Furthermore, it is believed that at least two other clubs have shown interest in signing Lukaku, and Inter’s current offer is reportedly the lowest among the three. Saudi Arabia has emerged as a prominent destination for several Chelsea players this summer, including Kalidou Koulibaly, Edouard Mendy, and N’Golo Kante, who joined on a free transfer.
For Chelsea, it is in their best interest to resolve the Lukaku saga promptly, as any possibility of him returning to Stamford Bridge would be a nuisance. Although Mauricio Pochettino was reportedly open to working with the striker, that opportunity has now passed.
