“I think that man is the right person” – Sky Sports pundit names manager Chelsea should hire
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe! The Chelsea manager dilemma is currently being discussed by everyone, and last night it was the turn of the Sky Sports analysts.
Following Chelsea’s decision to fire Graham Potter as Blues manager on Sunday, Gary Neville and company discussed the subject on the Monday Night Football show.
According to sources, Chelsea spoke with two potential managers on Monday!
Neville has never been very appreciative of Todd Boehly, the Chelsea owners, or their methods of operation, and his most recent remarks didn’t change that. Neville thinks that after spending a lot during the last two transfer windows, the club needs a manager who won’t want an additional £300 million to spend on new players.
While Julian Nagelsmann and Luis Enrique have reportedly been considered as potential replacements for Potter, Neville thinks Pochettino would be the best choice.
Neville stated today, as quoted by The Daily Express: “If they sign [Zinedine] Zidane, [Diego] Simeone, and Enrique, they are going to want another £300m because they won’t like any of the players they have signed. They must select a manager who will inherit and appreciate the team they already have. Because so many of them are young, I believe that man to be Pochettino.
